GHJ Foundation recently raised $15,000 to support Ukrainian refugees.
GHJ is a member of HLB, the global accounting and advisory network. After speaking with HLB partners in Poland and Ukraine as well as GHJ’s own team members from Ukraine, GHJ Foundation approved two grants:
- An international grant was awarded to Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, a Poland-based organization that is doing work on the ground with women and children to offer education and housing.
- A domestic grant was awarded to Global Empowerment Mission, an organization that acts as a first responder to global disasters. This grant was earmarked for the group’s work in Ukraine, delivering food, medical supplies and other essential goods to Ukraine and its neighboring countries.
GHJ Partner Peter Klass delivered the donation in person during a trip to Poland. During his trip, Peter met with leaders from two HLB Poland firms: getsix Managing Partner Claus Frank and AVANTA Partner and Board Member Grzegorz Warzocha. Grzegorz is also a Supervisory Board Member for Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, and has served on the board for 10 years.
GHJ Foundation is the Firm’s vehicle for purposeful and proactive giving to the community. The Foundation shows support to its community through financial contributions and volunteerism. As an extension of GHJ’s #BeMore philosophy, GHJ Foundation was established to help GHJ’s employees and clients pursue their passions and create a better future.
