GHJ Entertainment Practice Leader to Discuss Profit Participation Arbitration

GHJ Entertainment Practice Leader Ilan Haimoff will co-present an upcoming webinar for the American Bar Association about Profit Participation Arbitration. 

The webinar takes place on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. PDT and will be co-presented by Ilan and American Arbitration Association Commercial Division Vice President Aaron Gothelf.

“Best Practices for Film & Television Profit Participation Arbitrations” will explore how profit participation arbitrations can be resolved quickly and economically. Topics include arbitrator selection, preliminary hearings, pre-hearing and post-hearing briefs, presenting witnesses and evidence and closing arguments and attorney fee applications. The session will also compare in-person, remote and hybrid evidentiary hearings and how COVID-19 has impacted arbitrations.

Ilan has over 30 years of expertise in entertainment forensic accounting and his specialty in profit participation and forensic accounting makes him a trusted advisor for talent and producers alike for many years. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA.
