Did you know that Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria, Jeffrey Tambor, Annette Bening, Kathleen Kennedy, Peter Casey, Steven Spielberg, among many other leaders in the entertainment industry, graduated from a CSU campus? CSU continues to foster and develop the next generation of leaders in our entertainment industry.
As a CSUN graduate and a member of the California State University Entertainment Alliance (CSUEA) Advisory Council, I have had the honor and pleasure of serving with other CSU alumni to support CSUEA. I am fortunate to work for a firm, GHJ (GHJ), that supports my deep passion for giving back to the community and for serving our future leaders through the CSUEA.
GHJ believes every day is a chance to #BeMore. Not do more. Not work more. I am reaching out to the community of other CSU alumni across the entertainment industry to build awareness of the initiatives CSU has taken and to inspire our next generation of leaders to #BeMore.
Over the years, CSUEA has created successful educational and career development partnerships and collaborated with leading studios, companies and organizations including DreamWorks Animation (now Universal), Digital Hollywood, Disney, Grammy U, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, The Television Academy Foundation, Universal Music Group, Univision and The Virtual Reality Augmented Reality Association (VRARA), among many.
“The CSU Entertainment Alliance’s programs are all about helping talented, diverse CSU students get real world career development, networking and work experience in the super competitive entertainment arts industry. Your support, whether through internship opportunities, student mentorship, industry expertise, curriculum advisement or a financial gift help us help our hard working students successfully launch from CSU campus into a career. We invite you to get involved with our mission and join our active @TheCSUEA Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter social media community for the latest entertainment industry, campus, department, student or alumni news,” said Dr. Dina Ibrahim, Executive Director, CSUEA
I hope you too are interested in learning more and getting involved with mentoring our emerging leaders. You can find more information on the Entertainment Alliance here.
