I help clients by tackling problems with them and being responsive to their needs.
What is your proudest professional moment, and why?
When assisting a client with an acquisition, I was the only one among many professionals to notice that a calculation was off. I pointed it out, and our client benefited greatly.
What makes you get up in the morning, and how does it impact your work style?
I am passionate about my family and about my community. Coffee never hurts either.
What issues in the community do you care most about, and how does it motivate you?
I enjoy supporting charities that support children with illnesses, such as Make a Wish.
What are you passionate about?
I am a pop culture enthusiast. I love books and movies, and my husband and I attend pop culture conventions.
Sharon Flummerfelt, CPA, has over 30 years of public accounting experience and is a member of GHJ’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services Practice. She specializes in fractional controller and CFO roles. Sharon enjoys working alongside clients to solve problems together and believes the key to success is getting to know each client on a personal level and forming deep relationships with clients.
She was worked with clients across a variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution and media and advertising.
Sharon was a partner at Los Angeles based accounting firm GGF for 30 years before it merged into GHJ in 2024. She has prior experience in a wide range of accounting services, including audit and assurance, employee benefit audits, tax and transaction advisory services.
She graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business with an Emphasis in Accounting.
