Miso Moon, CPA, MST, has over 10 years of public accounting experience focusing on corporate taxation including federal and state corporate tax reporting, consulting, compliance and accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), serving both publicly traded and privately held multinational corporations.

Miso works across all sectors but has extensive experience with providing services to those in manufacturing, wholesale trade, distribution, pharmaceuticals, life science and technology industries. Her technical experience includes developing tax strategies and overseeing the entire tax process, U.S. international calculations and transactions, including calculation of Sec. 382 and tax goodwill.

Miso is a member of the Firm's technical advisory group for C-corporation taxes and a subject matter resource for accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.

Prior to joining GHJ in 2023, Miso worked for Big Four accounting firms and mid-size public accounting firms.

Miso graduated from Yonsei University in South Korea where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management. She also attained her Master of Science in Taxation from San Diego State University. Miso is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and a member of the AICPA and California Society of CPAs. Additionally, she speaks and writes fluently in both English and Korean.

Miso is a team player who can interact effectively with peers and clients to identify issues, build consensus and provide direction while maintaining a balance between technical and interpersonal skills. She loves a new challenge.
