Matthew Cruz joined GHJ’s Search and Staffing practice after several years in corporate accounting and finance. He combines this background with his passion for helping people to better understand the needs of both his clients and candidates.

Matthew specializes in finding the best accounting and finance talent for his clients, in addition to providing valuable insights into the current market landscape. He helps lead the research and recruitment efforts for mid- to executive-level finance and accounting, C-suite, marketing and IT professionals across all industry sectors.

In 2019, Matthew joined the Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) Los Angeles team, which was merged into GHJ in 2022. He was inducted into the 2020 CFS President's Club and was named runner-up for the 2020 CFS Executive Recruiting Rookie of the Year.

Matt graduated from Pepperdine University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
